INTRODUCING VIENNA & TARRAN
Get to know the beautiful spirited lady with the most infectious smile, Vienna aka @sou.good. Born in Macau, she is a full-time traveller, blogger (www.sou-good.com) and wife to travel partner Tarran!
1/ Tell us about yourself and your background...
I was born and raised in Macau. After high school I went to study in Chicago
and had this strong urge to travel. I managed to visit 48 out of the 50 states during
University. I love meeting people and have always wanted to develop myself in the
Public Relations industry. After graduating I moved back to Macau to work
within the hospitality industry with a focus on PR. Through this opportunity I
was able to further develop my skills in social media marketing, content creating and
photography which I progressed further and expanded into creating my own platforms
and becoming a content creator myself.

2/ How did you get into travel blogging?
After meeting Tarran we quickly realized we both had a real passion for travelling.
I was working in PR within the hospitality industry and it actually gave me the
opportunity to meet other travel writers, bloggers and content creators which really
gave me the inspiration to follow my dreams.
3/ What was the hardest thing about starting your travel blog?
When we started the travel blog we were only traveling part time, so I found it
hard to find things to write about every week. But since we have gone full time
traveling, Tarran has been taking care of the blog, so I have more time to focus on
our instagram posts, and some other paperwork.

4/ When did you go from part-time traveller to full-time traveller? What was the hardest part of this transition?
I went from part-time to full-time traveler after Tarran & I left Shanghai.

We were only part-time when we were living in Shanghai as Tarran was working full-time in the hospitality industry but we decided to fully commit to full-time travelling in April 2019.
5/ You and Tarran are so cute, how did you two meet?
We actually met in Macau. Tarran & I worked in the same hotel and we actually
met in the staff canteen. We found each other in the most unexpected place
6/ We know you both got married last year, how have you found being a
married couple compared to when you were dating?
We were 100% committed to each other back when we were just dating, so I really
don't find being married any different to be honest. We have always been so honest
with each other and we spend a lot of time with our family - we quickly became
each other’s family not long after we started dating.
7/ You both have travelled to so many beautiful locations, how do you
plan and pick destinations?
Instagram is a major influence in the modern social world and actually does dictate
for us in terms of selecting destinations. We always want to stay in-trend and visit
places that are current (and trendy) and also some countries that are less talked
about, where we can create awesome content. Since we started full-time travelling
some plans have just materialized based on places we actually wanted to visit but
also based on practicality and feasibility.

8/ Are there any places you haven’t visited yet
and have on your bucket list?
Oh definitely. There are still a lot of places
we would love to visit! We would love to
visit Africa and South America.
9/ What has been the most memorable place you
have visited?
It has to be
Boracay in the
Philippines simply
because we got engaged
there and held our
destination wedding
there so it certainly
has sentimental value!
We would love to go
back in the future!

10/ What are the top tips you can share to couples who are looking to
explore the world together?
Make sure to plan and organize your trip well. Good preparation will allow you to
manage time and budget accordingly. Also it is so important to pack light. Try to
slim down as much as possible. We originally packed quite heavy and only over time
did we realize the items we really needed. Travelling light will be more convenient and
especially if you take domestic flights you won't have that much luggage allowance.
11/ What is next for both yourself and Tarran?
Actually we plan to move back to Macau for a bit. We want to create a
basecamp there and collaborate more with the Macau tourism board so we can
utilize all the experience we gained in the hospitality and tourism industry,
especially in Asia, and look to create more awareness for Macau through
meaningful cultural experiences and projects.
12/ Finish this sentence, I am happiest when…
I am exploring a new place, talking to the local people, learning about their
culture. Putting myself in someone else's shoes for a day and learning to
appreciate all the little things in life all over again.
Lots of Love, xoxo
